A risk factor is anything that affects or increases your chance of getting a disease or cancer.
The following factors are the risk factors for bone cancer:
Controllable
*Exposure to radiation
Non-controllable
* Family history
*Sex
*Age
*Genetics/ Inherited
The cause of primary bone cancer is unknown. Genetics play a major role in most cases. Condition that cause increased bone breakdown and regeneration over an extended period of time increase the risk of tumor development.
